Before the awards, the applause, and the trophies, there are mompreneurs—Filipino women who turned Wi‑Fi, grit, and community into real businesses that support families and uplift communities.

Powered by PLDT Home’s connectivity, the Madiskarte Moms PH (MMPH) community has grown into a 227,000‑strong digital network where mompreneurs learn, mentor one another, and scale their ideas online. From social commerce to digital payments and content marketing, technology has helped these women run businesses while managing life at home—no small feat.

This tech-enabled sisterhood took center stage at the 4th Gawad Madiskarte Awards, where PLDT Home celebrated these mothers who are innovating across sustainability, ethical trade, and purpose-driven enterprise.

Since launching in 2020, Gawad Madiskarte has become more than an awards program. It’s a platform that recognizes mothers who balance caregiving with entrepreneurship, using digital tools to grow impact beyond their households. Now on its fifth year, the initiative continues to prove that access to technology can be a serious equalizer for women in business.

Together with UN Women and the Philippine Commission on Women, PLDT Home also launched “Panahon Mo Na,” a campaign encouraging mothers to proudly claim their space as entrepreneurs. The message: your hustle counts, your work matters, and your time is now.

PLDT Home highlighted how reliable connectivity helps mompreneurs stay competitive—whether it’s managing online orders, reaching new customers, or staying connected to a support system that understands both business and motherhood.

“At PLDT, we believe that reliable connectivity is a powerful enabler of growth. When mompreneurs are equipped with the right digital tools and supported by a strong community, they are able to expand their businesses, create opportunities, and uplift others,” said Menardo “Butch” Jimenez Jr., PLDT Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology officer.

Celebrating Tech-Enabled Impact

This year’s winners showed how innovation meets purpose:

  •  Diskarteng Fiber Biz winner Rambie Go of Rambie’s Collection uses upcycled materials to create sustainable accessories while providing livelihood to fellow mothers. “I am happy and grateful for this award as this recognizes the growing interest in sustainable fashion and inspires fellow moms to start small,” said Go.

  • Diskarteng Angat (Start-Up) winner Sheena Marie A. Mallari of Jakesheen’s Homemade Spreads turned digital reach into a growing food business. “Every challenge you face is part of your journey. Stay positive, stay consistent, and keep going,” she said.

  • Diskarteng Angat (Scale-Up) awardee Melanie A. Medrano of Gramworth Enterprises Inc. champions ethical trade through cacao products that support local farmers. “I want to say mabuhay to every Filipina. I believe that each of us has the diskarte, faith, and the support of our community to succeed,” said Medrano.

  • Diskarteng Eco-Friendly (Start-Up) winner Lanie Abanes Geronimo of Ecobum Cloth Diapers transformed personal loss into a mission-led, sustainable business. “I’d like to congratulate all the mothers present. Each one of us has a story worth celebrating,” she shared.

  • Diskarteng May-Puso (Scale-Up) winner Elsie Camille Espiritu of Kamagong Woodworkz found inspiration and income through the MMPH community. “I was at a low point during the pandemic, but the Madiskarte Moms PH community inspired me to start earning and build a business born from my husband’s and my shared passions,” Espiritu said.

With over 200 nominations, Gawad Madiskarte continues to show what happens when women are empowered by tech, strengthened by community, and driven by purpose.

As Jimenez put it, “What makes a Madiskarte Mom remarkable is not how she succeeds when things are easy, but how she moves forward when they are not.”

Madiskarte Moms PH remains open to mothers and aspiring entrepreneurs ready to build, connect, and thrive—one digital leap at a time.
